Good News and Bad News

We'll start with the good news.

Good- Received word that loan was approved with NVR and we should receive commitment letter in mail soon.

Good- Buyer of our home has also has final approval, wanted to try to move up closing date, and even scheduled appointment to bring his painter over the other day for a quote....I don't think they are backing out : )

Bad- It is starting to sound like there is no way we are going to build and close before the baby comes (Oh btw, we have number 2 on the way...another boy, due mid/late Sep.) This means if our house isn't ready, we will be living 2 adults, 2yr old, and new born in one bedroom!! YIKES!!

Hopefully it is only for a week or so and I can just rent an extended stay room to spread out the family during sleepy time.

We will see!!!

  1. Congrats on having another baby. Remember it is only temporary only for a short while as you all live togethr in one room. The baby takes a small amount of space. You can use a bassinett or something. For the first year of our daughters life we lived in a one bedroom apartment and she slept in a basinet then when she outgrew it about 5 months she slept in a light travel pack play pen it was smaller than a regular playpen. It wasn't till she was past 14 months that we got a bigger place and she had her own room. It will all work out.

    Congrats on the approval. :)

  2. Congrats on all fronts. Great idea regarding the Extended Stay Room...they are usually relatively inexpensive, very flexible, and great for a small number of people with all the amenities of home.

  4. Congrats on the new baby! I'm right there with ya, due with baby #1 on Oct 13, expected closing Sept 30. We haven't had our pre-construction meeting yet so anything could happen. Right now we are in a 1 bedroom apt (no washer/dryer) and I'm afraid it might be a little cramped in here if they don't finish before baby. Good luck, maybe they'll finish earlier than expected... keep reminding them that your pregnant, it can't hurt.
